In the case that patients have a gap or space between the tooth we can solve the problem by closing the gap by Direct Composite or Porcelain Veneer. Most of the case we use the Direct Composite because this technique is very conservative. It is no need to grind out any part of the teeth we just add the Composite Resin Material on to the teeth to close the gap. This technique can be done in one visit. The disadvantage of this technique is Composite Resin can worn by time.
We also close the gap by Porcelain Veneer. Porcelain Veneer has a better property than Composite Resin. It has more hardness enough to not to worn out by time. It has a better strength and will look more stable in esthetic than Composite Resin. But the disadvantage of this technique is we have to grind out the labial surface of the tooth which we will lost some of the tooth material and it has to take 2 visit to do this. So most patients choose to use the Direct Composite to correct the spaces.
